The Alpine iDA-X100 provides seamless control of you iPod and other types of media. This receiver, like most others today has the ability to play HD Radio, Satellite Radio and control other auxiliary media sources. This receiver is a step up from the original Alpine iDA-X001. The new model has a dedicated connection through a USB iPod connection, which gives you a better sound experience than the older FM Receivers. With a bright display you can easily search and select your songs from the iPod. It sports large control buttons and a Dual Action Rotary Encoder Knob to make finding your songs easier when you want to scroll through your songs. It also has other features like tagging and being able to load images for your background. The downside to this unit is you will still have to buy the optional cable for the connection to the iPod. The Alpine iDA-X100 also is Bluetooth ready , so you can pair up your cell phone with the headset and listen to the calls through your speakers.
